This month Heather and the Superintendent of Lamoille North Supervisory Union, Cat Gallagher, talk about our partnership with the district.
The Restorative Center has worked with the Lamoille North school district for quite a few years and in many different ways. Most recently, we’re focused on supporting teachers to be sure they can come to school and feel safe to teach.
Another piece of our partnership with the district is our restorative practice work. The way we’re helping staff to do that is with restorative circles. Restorative circles are used to develop relationships, build communities, and respond to conflicts and problems that arise. With restorative circles, you give everyone an equal opportunity to speak, and be listened to.
